Ali Sellin

Ali Sellin was raised in a musical family with 5 older brothers near Spirit River, Alberta.  Determined and independant, Ali taught herself to play guitar at age 12 and soon thereafter began to write her first songs.  Folk, country and R & B stylings come from early varied influences of Gordon Lightfoot, Anne Murray, Nana Mouskouri and more recently Johnny Reid and the late Eva Cassidy.

After the mid-70′s Ali entertained in several dinner clubs in British Columbia then moved to Saskatchewan in the early ’80′s.  Some of her music activities involved  composing the 1988 Saskatchewan Summer Games theme song, taking honours in talent shows and participating in a CJWW Saskatchewan Country Dozen compilation recording.

Having put her music “on the shelf” for over 20 years, Ali is now back, living in Alberta and writing and performing her music inspired by her family, friends and fellow musicians
