January 29, 2022Pay What You Can
and here we are.....final day of the 2022 online edition of the Tongue on the Post Folk Music Festival....16 years, can you believe it?!!!
Starting the evening off will be everyone's favorite singer songwriter that likes to remain elusive, Richard Inman.
Its been a number of years now since Richards return to our stage and we are most certainly excited to hear what he has in store for us!! With the recent release of a brand new single, Richard is poised to have an amazing year in music and can be heard almost daily on CKUA and many other stations across the country.
Next up is Edmonton's own, Ben Sures, coming to make his Festival debut as he begins promoting his brand new album that literally just dropped!!
Ben can also be found in regular rotation on our beloved CKUA for good reason!
With his unique style of song and story telling, Ben is sure to bring one heck of a show!!
and now our grand finale....... former Medicine Hat resident and Folk Music Club pioneer, Phyllis Sinclair makes her return to our festival stage for the first time in almost a decade!!
Phyllis has had an amazing past year and a half with some well deserved success for her album "Ghost Bones" which managed to achieve 3 Top10 spots on national charts with the title track "Ghost Bones" achieving the #1 spot on the Indigenous charts for 18 weeks!! a feat not easily achieved!
This is a show many of us have been waiting a long time to hear and see! and Phyllis has brought the band, so we are certainly in for a great show!
With many years of experience behind her, and an extremely bright future ahead, Phyllis will take the stage to places far beyond the brick walls of the historic Medalta kiln!
Please join us in making a warm welcome back for all of these artists as they navigate the uncertain times of the current music industry..... Your comments can be seen by the artists during the livestream and they love seeing them!!!
